Unusual chromosomal changes increase the risk of schizophrenia

(Karolinska Institutet) People with schizophrenia have an increased number of unusual chromosomal changes, particularly structural changes that have the potential to alter the function of the genes.

These results were published today in the scientific journal Nature.
