UT MD Anderson study ties abnormal cells in blood to lung cancer

(University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center) Circulating abnormal cells detected by FISH increase as the disease progresses.

Their abnormalities match those found in the tumor and their are many more aberrant cells in the blood of patients than in healthy controls.
