Delivery to the Strategic National Stockpile of the first 1 million doses of the nation’s first smallpox vaccine for certain immune-compromised populations is now complete, the result of a Project BioShield contract.

CLEVELAND (MedPage Today) -- The U.S. will buy 13 million additional courses of antiviral medications to replenish the strategic national stockpile and will send 400,000 doses to Mexico for treatment of 2009 H1N1 (swine) flu cases there, CDC officials said today.
