In my Aug. 2009 post "Why Siemens Healthcare Fails", I wrote:

I note that I used to admire German engineering rigor, but after seeing ill conceived, misguided position ads like the following from Siemens Healthcare, I am having sincere doubts about that country's current prowess in that domain.

It's interesting how most of the information below seems to have a hard time "staying put" on the Wikipedia page for "Electronic Health Record" at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_health_record

Motley crew? A new bipartisan Commission on Smart Global Health Policy plans to develop a strategy for spending US global health aid by the end of this year.

The Commission, which will issue its recommendations to Barack Obama’s administration, consists of senators and global health experts, plus some unusual bed-fellows, including executives from Exxon Mobil and Coca-Cola.
