(The Endocrine Society) A new gene therapy has helped pet dogs with cancer live longer and could potentially improve the quality of life and survival of people with cancer, said the therapy's developers.

The results of the animal study will be presented at the Endocrine Society's 90th Annual Meeting in San Francisco.
