New alternatives for bone imaging could be on the horizon

(Society of Nuclear Medicine) On June 4, the US Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced that it is considering a pathway for coverage of Sodium Fluoride (NaF-18) for PET bone imaging as an alternative to Technetium-99m imaging.
