Lack of Efficacy Forces Halt to Shock Treatment Study

BETHESDA, Md. (MedPage Today) -- The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) has terminated a clinical trial of concentrated saline for trauma patients in shock, after interim results indicated no benefit for the treatment.
