(Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres) Germany will participate in the largest and most ambitious biomedical research project since the Human Genome Project.

Coordinated by the German Cancer Research Center, the German participants of the International Cancer Genome Consortium will start their work in January.

Their aim is to analyze the molecular causes of childhood brain tumors. Scientists expect that the results of this research will help to find new approaches for developing targeted therapies with little side effects.
