(Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care) Internationally viewed, medical care in Germany for children with cancer is very good as far as survival is concerned.

However, other aspects, such as quality of life, pain, and long-term consequences of the disease are still insufficiently investigated in studies.

This is the conclusion of the Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care in its final report published in October 2009 and for which an English-language summary is now available.
