BETHESDA, Md. (MedPage Today) -- With members citing unanswered safety questions, an FDA advisory panel today narrowly rejected approval of the nation's first cell-based influenza vaccine -- an alternative to vaccines produced by the traditional, time-consuming method of growing the virus in eggs.
