Death Rate Higher in HCV Carriers (CME/CE)

Patients who carry the hepatitis C virus (HCV) had a higher rate of overall mortality and of liver-related death than patients who had been previously infected but no longer had the virus in their bloodstream, but a full course of treatment improved survival, researchers found.
