Cardiovascular Events in Omalizumab Trial Prompt FDA Scrutiny

WASHINGTON (MedPage Today) -- The FDA is reviewing safety data from an ongoing trial of the asthma drug omalizumab (Xolair) after interim results showed an excess of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events among patients taking the drug.
