1.Possibly helped save mine and my baby's life!
(Mount Sterling, KY United States) February 24, 2005 - 5.0/5 stars
I will admit that I agree with other reviewers in the fact that this book tells a few too many worse case situations. And it caused me to worry (and also bother my husband) slightly more than nessecary during our pregnancy... read full review
2.Comprehensive and calming
(New York) January 20, 2005 - 5.0/5 stars
This book is by far the best of the pregnancy books I have read. It covers almost every possible aspect of pregnancy, whether common or uncommon, and does so in a calm and reassuring way. It tells you what you need... read full review
3.Exceedingly helpful.
(Alaska, USA) March 10, 2005 - 5.0/5 stars
Seriously, exceedingly helpful. I'm not kidding. this book is more helpful than you think a book could be. At times assuring and at other times alarming, this book is full of information! What's good is that the information... read full review
4.Best pregnancy book
(NY) April 4, 2005 - 5.0/5 stars
I read this book when I was pregnant. I did not read the whole thing just parts that interested me . I really liked it. It helped a lot. It answers a lot of questions. I plan on reading it again when I get pregnant again. I would recomend this to any pregnant woman.
5.I have to agree
(T.O., Ontario) April 27, 2005 - 5.0/5 stars
I have to agree with what other reviewers have said. While What to Expect is very thorough, it is basically a catalog of all the negative/scary stuff that can happen during pregnancy. What the authors leave out is the... read full review
6.Solid, Middle of The Road
(Vermont) January 17, 2005 - 5.0/5 stars
This is a reference book, an all-around, kitchen-sink atlas of babyhood for new parents, from diaper rash to speech impediments. If you want a more liberal, baby-first approach, go to Penelope Leach; more... read full review
7.it IS a great book
(Los Angeles, CA) January 6, 2005 - 5.0/5 stars
I am amazed at all the bad reviews that are listed here. Yes, the "What to expect" series are very to the point and very detailed. They explain everything because anything really could happen. If you are worry prone... read full review
8.I appreciate this book!
(United States) September 26, 2004 - 5.0/5 stars
This is not my first pregnancy, actually I have been through this 5 times, successfully. :-) However, this book has been an invaluable help to me. I like her diet suggestion, her advice, her descriptions... read full review
9.Perfect For The First Time Mom-To-Be
(Clifton Park, NY) September 24, 2004 - 5.0/5 stars
I must say that this book is a godsend, as I am a first time mom-to-be, and had no idea what to expect with being pregnant. The book walks you through the changes both you and the baby experience each month, with... read full review
10.A Must Read for Pregnant Mothers
(Fort Lauderdale, Fl) September 29, 2004 - 5.0/5 stars
I read this book early in my pregnancy with triplets. The information contained within it is invaluable to those who have a multiple gestation pregnancy. The diet outlined by Dr. Luke enabled me to go to 35 weeks and deliver... read full review
