1.Battle Mountain, Nevada!
(Palo Alto, CA) May 31, 2005 - 5.0/5 stars

2.Excellent
(LA.) June 1, 2005 - 5.0/5 stars
Excellent and well written book about a difficult childhood and yet the author does not seem the least bit bitter in this poignant memoir of her life. I rate it up there as well with NIGHTMARES ECHO and UNDERNEATH IT ALL as being excellent reads.

9.A Memoir That Moves
(Fair Haven NJ USA) June 4, 2005 - 5.0/5 stars
This book "moves" in both senses of the word. (1) I couldn't put it down--it was so absorbing and well written; and (2) I actually cried reading it alone by myself at 5:00 in the morning. The book is a great character study... read full review
10.What a life, what a story, what a book
(U.S.A) June 5, 2005 - 5.0/5 stars
This is one of my favorite books that I have ever read. I read this book and related to it, not because I grew up like she did, but because I remember seeing families like hers and always wandering who they were. Kids that... read full review
