On Alison Bass' blog, this post discussed the ongoing US Senate probe of, among other things, the American Psychiatric Association's relationships with pharmaceutical companies.

In a memo to its members, APA President Nada Stotland, seemed more concerned about the questioning of "long traditions and established practices" than about whether the questions were valid.

In a final twist, although the APA publicized the existence of the memo, its content is not available to the general public.
